If it folds, is it weaker than a normal hard case?
No. The shell is the same kind of hard polymer used in standard hard luggage: polycarbonate on the Flex 360° and Mono, ABS on the Flex Light and Vega Air. The folding inner walls are made from the same material as the outer shell, and the patented frame locks rigid the moment it is open. Every production batch goes through ten tests before it ships: structure load, drop, tumble, staircase impact, spinner wheel mileage, back wheel endurance, handle lift, trolley lift, side handle lift and zipper endurance.
How small does it actually fold?
It depends on the range. The Flex 360° and Mono carry-ons fold to 13 cm, and their checked sizes to 16 cm. Flex Light folds to 11 cm. The Vega Air is the slimmest at 5 cm. In every case that is roughly a third of the depth of the same bag standing open, so it slides under a bed instead of taking a whole cupboard.
Which size do I need?
- Carry-on, 40 L. 55 x 40 x 20 cm. Cabin size for most Australian airlines, and within the 115 cm total (length + width + depth) most international airlines allow. Good for two to four days.
- Medium checked, 77 L. 65 x 47.5 x 28 cm. Five to ten days.
- Large checked, 100 L. 76 x 52 x 28.5 cm. Two weeks or more, or a family trip.
Shipping and returns
Free standard shipping on orders over $100, across Australia and NZ. Express is available at checkout for a fee. Order before 11am (Adelaide time) and it leaves our Adelaide warehouse within 48 hours. You get a tracking number by email as soon as it is on its way. NZ takes 5 to 10 days depending on the region. If it is not right, you have 100 days on luggage and 30 days on bags and accessories to send it back unused, with tags and box, for a full refund.
What does the warranty cover?
The frame, shell, wheels and handle are covered against manufacturing faults. Normal wear and tear and misuse are not covered. Flex 360° and Flex Mono carry a Limited Lifetime warranty, which means the life of the product. Flex Light, Vega Air and Futo are covered for five years. Airline damage is a claim with the airline rather than a warranty fault, but talk to us either way and we will help you sort it.
